Getting this money stuff right is often a marathon, not a sprint, especially for those of us who have some bad habits to unlearn. To me, the secret to good stewardship isn’t any of the four keys to financial health (giving, saving, living below your means and hard work) although each of those is critical. But if you’re miserable in the process, good stewardship doesn’t do you much good.
Your Money God’s Way on the radio!
“My whole life was a lie… I realized there was absolutely no integrity in the way we were living. There was no honesty. I felt like a failure as a wife and a mother and a Christian.”
Before you sell your house…
About 75% of the people I coach think they need to sell their home. About 2% actually do. In most cases, people didn’t go overboard on their home but most of us go overboard every day on the little things. Dinners out, lattes, books bought on impulse, thinking we need every latest gadget. It all adds up.
The cost of being a chicken
There are consequences, good and bad, to every decision we make. But by sticking your head in the sand, or retreating to the happy place of denial and refusing to confront the issues and choices that lay ahead, you’re leaving yourself defenseless against what lies ahead. And whether you’re hiding or not, I promise you, that hammer is going to come down.
Everything Glorious
Life is a series of occasional victories and a whole lot of mistakes. Cleaning up from those mistakes usually feels anything but glorious. But if you’re walking out of a mess with your head held high and your eyes set on God’s will, then you’re moving on to better things and that, indeed, is glorious. You have to have faith to know that God sees it that way too.
